OPNC Supports Block Party

The Olympic Park Neighborhood Council is about engaging the community to represent our needs with the City. And what better way to do that than the Longwood Area Neighborhood Association Block Party?

We supported this event which brought neighbors together for fun on May 31, 2025. Kids enjoyed crafts, a slide and face painting. Everyone enjoyed delicious food and the dog show. Former OPNC member Milton Gaines was a judge for the dog show. OPNC Board Members Nathan Freeman and Guy Toley were on hand to meet community members and invite them to get involved in the OPNC.

“It was a pleasure to attend and participate in the LANA Block Club Party as a member of OPNC. Seeing all the community members enjoying an afternoon in the sun and spending time with their neighbors was rewarding. It was a great example of how neighborhoods can come together to make a greater friendlier city,” said Guy Toley.
