Roto callers from fake numbers are calling DWP customers claiming their accounts, business or personal, are on the verge of being shut off for non payment. The caller will state that a payment must be made now to prevent disconnection. DWP does not ever make calls for disconnection. Also, because of COVID, they have put a temporary pause on disconnecting services!
DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM! Call 3-1-1 and report the call to LADWP Fraud Department. If you have caller ID, provide them with the number they called from.
