Longwood Area Neighborhood Association Meeting on the Purple Line Transit Neighborhood Plan
October 23, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
From LANA:
We are holding a very important meeting on a City Planning issue that will directly impact our neighborhood with regard to zoning, traffic, parking, air quality and quality of life.
We have invited the Senior City Planner to come and present this plan and then take comments and questions from our neighborhood as is required by the State CEQA laws in order for this plan (TNP – Purple Line Transit Neighborhood Plan) to move forward as opposed to the scheduled Wilshire Community Plan update (2021).
The Purple Line TNP is an upzoning plan that will bring thousands of new residents into the area surrounding our neighborhood with unlimited height building with limited parking and without upgrading our current aging infrastructure (water, power, streets) and without increasing city services (police, fire, schools). Those of us who have seen the presentation and requested information and we are very concerned that City Planning and City Council have decided to put their efforts into this plan instead of a the more thoughtful and scheduled Wilshire Community Plan update.
Details for the meeting:
Tuesday, October 23rd
7pm
Wilshire Community Police Station – community room
4861 Venice Blvd.
LA, CA 90019
(street parking on Venice or park in Living Spaces lot)
