Western Design Workshop

Welcome to Western is a year-long public realm enhancement project that is informed by the many users of Western Ave between Melrose and 3rd Street – including neighborhood residents and property owners, small business owners, employees, and customers, drivers, transit riders, pedestrians, and cyclists, school teachers, students, and staff, and members of religious institutions and service organizations. Through robust outreach to these diverse constituents, LA-Más will facilitate a participatory planning process that will result in physical streetscape improvements that upgrade the pedestrian experience and benefit the small businesses on Western Avenue by connecting the local economy to the surrounding community.
