The owner of 1215 S. Irolo has approached the Olympic Park Neighborhood Council to present plans for a multi-family residential building. The project would involved demolishing the existing structure for the construction of an 11 unit, 3 story over ground level parking apartment building.
The current requirements with housing are as follows:
-1 extremely low rent unit around $500 per month
1- low income replacement unit rent around $800
1- low income replacement unit at around $1050
Currently there is only 1 low income rent (compared to the economy and market rent) at $1300 per month
This would not only reduce the current tenant’s rent based on her on the books income but offer 3 additional units to the market for cost that are far below the states section 8 fair market rent amounts.
