Venice Blvd For All support letter

Dear City Leaders,
The Olympic Park Neighborhood Council is supportive of the “Venice Blvd For All” plan conceived by Streets For All. Additionally, we are supportive of getting the effort to Downtown Los Angeles, establishing safe and efficient bike and transit routes from Downtown to the ocean.
Within our borders, the plan calls for traffic calming along 4th Ave, Country Club Drive, and Gramercy Place, and W. 11th St, with safe crossings at Normandie and Western.
We encourage LADOT to implement traffic calming elements like chicanes, curb extensions, speed humps, and “Toucan” crossings at major intersections. This will simultaneously make our neighborhood streets a safer place to ride a bike, as well as discourage cut-through traffic.
