Vote in OPNC Elections April 4

BONC Honors OPNC for 15 years of service

The Olympic Park Neighborhood Council will hold elections for 9 seats on Thursday, April 4. There are 4 seats up for election east of Crenshaw Blvd and another 4 seats west of Crenshaw Blvd. There is also one seat for a Student Representative. All seats have a two year term.

Who Can Run?

Candidate Registration is now closed.

If you are an Olympic Park Neighborhood Council Stakeholder 18 years or older you may run for a seat. Students 16 and older may run for the Student seat.

“Stakeholders” shall be defined as those who live, work, or own real property in the neighborhood and also to those who declare a stake in the neighborhood as a community interest stakeholder, defined as a person who affirms a substantial and ongoing participation within the Neighborhood Council’s boundaries and who may be in a community organization such as, but not limited to, educational, non-profit and/or religious organizations.

Candidates should have a vision for how they can benefit Olympic Park, be available to attend our monthly meetings and to participate in our committees.

Who Can Vote?

Voters must be 16 years old to vote.

In the previous election there was online voter registration and voting. This year the voter registration will be completed at the polls and all voting will take place in person at the polls.

Election timeline

Candidate Filing Period: December 20, 2018 – January 22, 2019

Candidate Information Session: January 9, 2019

Certified Candidate List Available: February 1

Election Day: April 4
