OPNC Recognized for 15 Years of Service

OPNC Recocgnized by the City Board of Neighborhood Commissioners for 15 Years of Service

At the December 4, 2018 Board of Neighborhood Commissioners meeting, the OPNC was recognized for 15 years of service to the community along with neighboring council to the north, Greater Wilshire NC. Olympic Park was certified as Council #82 on December 3, 2003 after a very long certification hearing at the Wilshire Ebel Theater.

Current Treasurer and Founding Member, Milton Gaines, who also served at the council’s First President, was on hand to receive the certificate presented by the General Manager of the Department of Neighborhood Empowerment, Graycie Liu. He made a few comments about the formation and growth of the OPNC and thanked the Commissioners and DONE for the recognition.
