Olympic Park Neighborhood Council Los Angeles, California
OPNC voted to support World Harvest Charities and Family Services with a Neighborhood Purposes Grant of $4,000 towards a commercial box truck with lift gate. World Harvest is a non profit that collects and distributes food through their facility and partner agencies including food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters and after school programs. Located just south of our OPNC boundaries at 3100 Venice Blvd, they distribute food to our residents and residents citywide. Those in need can pay a small donation to cover transportation costs or can work several hours in exchange for the food.
OPNC is heartened by the work at World Harvest and thankful for the opportunity to support their work.
